Trivia[]
- Neville Sweeney's barge, Sydney G was shown in the opening sequence of the fourth episode of the 2017 British detective drama series, Prime Suspect 1973. The prequel to the original Prime Suspect series also starred Brian Lane's actor, Alun Armstrong as criminal, Cliff Bentley.
- The case that the UCOS team was reinvestigating in this episode is loosely inspired by the Marchioness disaster that took place on the Thames between the Cannon Street Railway Bridge and the Southwark Bridge in the early hours of the 20th August 1989.
- Like in the episode, the disaster occurred when a pleasure steamer, the Marchioness (that had been hired for a birthday party) collided with an aggregate dredger Bowbelle. Of the 131 people on board the Marchioness, 51 lost their lives.
